I started out with many ideas of what theme I would use for this rec post but as I searched my saved links I kept encountering fics that I wanted to rec but did not fit with my preconceived plans.

So this post is a bit eclectic- they're all gen so I guess I could go with that!

Reccer's Comments: There's a weird demon creature stalking Dean while Dean battles some personal demons of his own. One of the greatest complaints about season 7 was the handling of Dean's alcohol dependence- This story beautifully handles the theme of addiction and it's so flawless, it makes me wish this story were canon. Anyone who knows me knows that whenever I am asked to recommend fan fiction, this one will always find it's way into the list. No matter who I'm reccing to or what they're looking for! Hehe. The relationship between Dean and Sam is so beautiful, the dialogue/banter is perfect, and there's so much delicious angst.

Reccer's Comments: Absolutely brutal and I would expect nothing less from this author. The emotion was visceral and the dialogue was perfect. I don't normally go for wing!fics but this really worked for me.
