A few ground-rules:

01. As for what type of thing you should be prompting here, this is a Dean-focused hurt/comfort community, so Dean should be the one in the hurt/comforted role. Your prompts may involve sick!Dean, (yes, please!) angsty!Dean, hurt!Dean, or anything else that results in Dean being on the receiving end of hurt/comfort.

02. Comment to this post with your desired characters or pairings, if any, and a prompt. All genres/pairings are welcome, however this is not an RPF meme. Please focus on the fictional characters only.

Example A: “Sam, Dean, gen, set in season 4. PTSD!Dean has a flashback to hell on a hunt and almost gets himself and Sam killed. Cue guilty, upset Dean and awesome, comforting Sam.”
Example B: “Sam/Dean, fever. Dean has the chills and there is cuddling, naaw.”

03. You can leave as many prompts as you like, but one prompt per comment, please. If you've got a few, comment with each separately.

04. Your prompts can be as short or as detailed as you’d like.

05. Scroll through the comments and when/if you find a prompt you like, write a fic in reply to the comment.

06. More than one comment-fic response to a prompt is totally acceptable, and in fact encouraged. The more fic, the better!

07. Art submissions are very much accepted too! Art larger than 800 px or so should be posted as a thumbnail that links back to the full art, please.

08. When replying to a prompt with your comment-fic or art, put 'FILLED' in your subject line as well as warning for anything that might be triggering, such as non-con, self-harm, etc. You can add anything else you want too, ie: a title if you have one/part numbers. It’s not a big deal if you don't do all of this, but using 'FILLED' as well as warnings will make it easier for people to find your fic, and for me when I’m compiling the masterlist.

09. Anonymous posting is enabled in case you’re embarrassed by your schmoopiest of schmoopy hurt/comfort fantasies or something, haha. IP logging will also be off during the weeks the meme is at it’s most active.

10. No spoilers for upcoming episodes, please. If you're prompting something from a recently aired episode, (like the finale) please be courteous and note that there may be spoilers before you get to the main part of your request. Or you can use the following code. Just put your prompt/text where it says to:

We’ve had two? (I think) references onscreen to Dean taking pills of unknown origin. I’d like something that deals with that. Not necessarily involving addiction (although that can be a part of it if you’d like to take things in that direction) but more like, the why behind that.

Maybe tie it into the references in “Sam, Interrupted” to Dean’s sleeping/drinking patterns? Idk. Anything!

Dean (and/or Sam) is injured badly enough, or is sick enough or has come down with something natural but weird enough, that the local hospital can't treat him and he has to be life-flighted to a hospital in the nearest big city. There isn't time to go by ambulance/car, and he/they will die if they stay put. We know Dean has a problem with airplanes... can he hold it together in a helicopter, knowing there's no other choice?

Gen, any time between Princeton era - 6.18 (because that's where we are this week where I live. I am in spoiler hell).

Dean starts losing bits and pieces. At first he just forgets; a conversation, an incident from the past, nothing major. Then he can't remember a recent hunt. Then he starts losing other things, like focus, like his infamous apetite, like... himself. And Sam (or another character, if you so please) is worried.

A curse renders Dean mentally de-aged to a small child (something in the 3-7 age range). He's physically still an adult, but to the outside world he almost seems like someone with a mental disability and/or brain damage. Either John or Sam (or both) has to care for Dean who is scared and confused by his predicament and needs lots of hugs and cuddling to make him not freak out too badly.

long-term illness

Dean is poisoned/cursed/contracts a long-term illness. I’m thinking supernatural, but if you can think of a real medical cause, go for it! He’ll eventually recover, but he'll be out of commission for weeks (or maybe even months) with fever, chills, extreme weakness, and/or whatever fun h/c symptoms you want to throw in there. Any genre.

Monsters aren't real and John truly is crazy, in his paranoia he started drugging his sons from an early age to make them susceptible to what their father says and see what he sees too. Sam manages to get away from it and detox and see the truth when he goes off to college, so, later on, he comes for Dean and forces him detox and see, for the first time since he was 4, the real world. Focus on Dean's recuperation, his world fell apart, he wasted his life for nothing, feels worthless. Supportive!sam, I don't mind supportive!Jess if you want her there too.

AU wherein John took baby Sammy out of the house first rather than giving him to Dean. Dean was trapped under debris when he was too afraid to run out of the fire alone. John rescued him, but in moving him, he also did his boy some damage. Dean's been in a wheelchair ever since. Doctors don't believe he'll ever walk again. Could be Gen or John/Dean (or even Dean/John/Sam), but regardless I'd like John refusing to leave Dean behind. Bonus if Dean also has burns/scars from the fire.

I have this image of Castiel pushing Dean on a swing. Castiel is not the least bit immune to Dean's cuteness and buys him some icecream, and wipes Dean's mouth off with a napkin. John is hunting the vengeful spirit of a child molester. He doesn't want to take 14-17-ish Dean with him, seeing as he's been attracting the wrong kind of attention anyway, but somehow Dean ends up at the grave yard (John needs the help, Dean sneaks after him,...)
John is busy digging up the grave, fighting off the spirit and Dean decides to draw its attention away from his father.
Up to you how far the ghost actually gets before John manages to salt'n'burn his ass.
