Reccer’s comments: Whoah. This is an older fic that I recently came across and really like. It features a flawed, but beautiful Dean, and the whole thing is creepy and dreamy and captivating.

At the suggestion of some of our members, I’ll be putting on a themed comment-fic meme once and awhile. (Don’t worry, we’ll still have our regular Dean-focused h/c comment-fic memes every six months or so as well.) Our first theme is Halloween - or anything related to Autumn, really. I’m not picky. ;)



A few ground-rules:

01. So, like always, your prompts should involve some form of Dean-focused hurt/comfort, (i.e.; sick!Dean, angsty!Dean, hurt!Dean) but they should also involve Halloween/general spookiness, or just somehow be related to Autumn, you know - Thanksgiving, Oktoberfest, etc. Because of the timing of the meme, fics that deal with the date of November 2nd (the day Mary Winchester died) would work great too.

02. Comment to this post with your desired characters or pairings, and a prompt. All genres/pairings are welcome, however this is not an RPF meme. Please focus on the fictional characters only.

03. You can leave as many prompts as you like, but one prompt per comment, please. If you've got a few, comment with each separately.

04. Your prompts can be as short or as detailed as you’d like.

05. Scroll through the comments and when/if you find a prompt you like, write a fic in reply to the comment.

06. More than one comment-fic response to a prompt is totally acceptable, and in fact encouraged. The more fic, the better!

07. Art submissions are very much accepted too! Art larger than 800 px or so should be posted as a thumbnail that links back to the full art, please.

08. When replying to a prompt with your comment-fic or art, put 'FILLED' in your subject line as well as warning for anything that might be triggering, such as non-con, self-harm, etc. You can add anything else you want too, ie: a title if you have one/part numbers. So, your subject line should look something like this:

FILLED: Title, Character(s), genre/pairing(s), Rating, Warning(s) - if any

For further clarification:

Example: FILLED: Untitled, Dean and Sam, gen, PG-13, self-harm

It’s not a big deal if you don’t do all of this, but using 'FILLED' as well as warnings will make it easier for people to find your fic, and for me when I’m compiling the masterlist.

09. Anonymous posting is enabled in case you’re embarrassed by your schmoopiest of schmoopy hurt/comfort fantasies or something, haha. IP logging will also be off during the weeks the meme is at it’s most active.

10. No spoilers for upcoming episodes, please. If you're prompting something from a recently aired episode, please be courteous and note that there may be spoilers before you get to the main part of your request. Or you can use the following code. Just put your prompt/text where it says to:

ETA: As of November 25th, 2010, this meme is closed for leaving new prompts. It is still OPEN, however, (and will be indefinitely) for new comment-fics and comments/feedback, and I’ll keep updating the masterlist as long as people keep writing. ;)

First of all, I'd just like to say - thank-you so, SO much to the participants of this challenge. So many fantastic fics have come out of it; I’m having a total ball reading them!

A note on late challenge fics: Please keep checking this list in the following days, as we still have quite a few challenge fics coming in! Newly added challenge fics will be obviously marked with a bolded and coloured date added stamp.

After June 30th, I won't be updating the masterlist anymore. You will be able to follow the .amnesty tag for late challenge fics.

A note on unclaimed or unfilled prompts: You guys will be able to re-prompt any untouched (unclaimed or claimed but unwritten) prompts from the last fic challenge during our next fic challenge.
