Sam and John's disagreements shine through just as they would appear in canon and yet their devotion to finding Dean doesn't get lost. Dean for the most part puts up a brave front, but who wouldn't get freaked having vamps sucking on you when you only just recently learned they exist.

wave_obscura created in the prequel to this, 'The Kissing Curve' and I love them here. Here, Sam has a screwed up leg and Dean is pretty sick, and so for awhile they end up chilling with the OCs they saved from supernatural badness in the first fic. Sam spends a bit of time recreating his college years that he knows he’ll never have again. SAMMY ;_; And sick!Dean is forlorn because Sam confiscated his Afrin, haha. Then Dean gets sicker, and of course Sam comes through.

In conclusion, I always really like this author's dialogue, and the way Sam and Dean's love and affection for each other shines through her writing. This is amusing and sweet, and a little sad too.
