Throwback Thursday: Dean H/C Highlights from 5x21 "Two Minutes to Midnight"

It's Throwback Thursday! Short and sweet tonight, because like Sam and Dean in this clip, I too am sick. (Actually, not at all like Dean in this clip, which makes me happy for me and--ahahaha, sorry Dean, I guess that also makes me happy. :P)

After taking down War in 5x02 and Famine in 5x14, the Winchesters suddenly realize during 5x20 that there are only two more episodes in the season and they still have to deal with two Horsemen, Lucifer, Michael, and the Apocalypse.

So they decide that the thing to do is to take twelve minutes out of their busy lives to kill Pestilence!

But a worthy twelve minutes it is, because three of those comprise what I think of very fondly as The Pestilence Hallway Scene. AKA "Yes, that actually happened. Yes, on TV. Yes, you can totally rewind that multiple times."

:'D Ehehehehehe.

This scene gives me so much pleasure I actually feel shy about articulating exactly why. XP And you guys should know pretty well by now that here at hoodie_time, that is usually the one thing we are all very NOT SHY about! XD So help me out here! What do you like (or not like, fair enough) about this scene?

I really love the part where Sam tries to go help Dean. And um, their little fail pile on the ground shortly thereafter. For Reasons. */////∇/////*

Let's be real, my only qualm is that there wasn't an entire episode of Pestilence; though if there had been I think I may have tied of shameful ecstasy, so perhaps it's for the best.

And because I think it's a personal affront that there is so much H/C in this clip and that thumbnail was the best YouTube could manage, some GIFs:

MAX HEADROOM!!! I've just been watching him in Orphan Black and he is AWESOME!

Everything you mention is good, but I also love when Sam finally gives out and Dean is already out cold behind him, mmm. It's just a very lovely scene, and one I'd almost forgotten about! Thanks for posting.

Mmmmm, that too. I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS SCENE but I will continually wonder how in the world it even exists, and possibly why it exists. XDD NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING. Oh man, S5. XDDD

This is one of my favorite scenes ahh :') All that coughing...and coughing...and did I mention the coughing? (is it obvious that sick!dean is my favorite? eek)

And, yes, Sam trying to help Dean and them falling on top of each other, the attempted comfort that doesn't go so well (UGH MY HEART). I didn't like our introduction to Pestilence, but it was well-worth it for these few minutes.

It does my little Dean loving hc heart so good to be reminded that this exists. We got two for one here, Sammy hc as well. Favorite part is yes the failed attempted comfort pile in the hall. Must now go watch the episode in its entirety. Thanks
