A new thing we’re trying, inspired by the various themed weeks that have taken place on tumblr recently, is to have the occasional themed week here at the comm as a kind of mini-challenge! It will all be super low-key, will have no sign-ups, will accept both fic and art, and will be a lot of fun, we think. Our first theme is curtain!fic or art! (the definition of this can be found beneath the cut.) If you’re new to hoodie_time, please note that this comm, and this challenge are also oriented around Dean-centric h/c. You will have this week, starting now, to get a head start on your curtain! fic or art creations, and the actual posting period will be next week, anytime from September 16th up to and including September 23rd.

We always welcome you to help us advertise comm events, but since this is a new thing, it would be especially appreciated. Your LJ, tumblr, all the places! \o/

It's October (where did my summer go???) so I put together a compilation of all the the lonely prompts from last year's Halloween/Autumn themed Dean-focused h/c comment-fic meme. (We'll be having either a Christmas-themed meme or just a regular meme for our next meme this year to change things up, fyi.) Anyway, these are some seasonal, AWESOME prompts, and I hope they inspire some of you!

The only rule here is to please post your fills as comment-fics or link to them at your journal as a comment to the original prompt. You can definitely post them to the comm itself, (it’s encouraged, really) but please do the other as well, so that the prompter will know you've filled it and so that I can add it to the meme masterlist for all to see. ;) There are no deadlines or other rules.

You can use the .lonely prompts challenge tag when posting to the comm.

The Lonely Prompts Challenge is perpetually open. It isn’t an ~official challenge~ like others we've done; it's just something I like to do to highlight prompts that are leftover/unfilled from our past memes, etc., in the hope that they'll inspire some of you. If you decide to pick up one of these prompts, that's awesome. There's no claiming or deadlines or anything, and no limit on how many people can write for a prompt - just write away!

You can use the .lonely prompts challenge tag when posting to the comm, and please also leave a link to your fic at the original prompt in the case of the comment-fic meme prompts (I've included links to the original prompts in the lists below) so that I can add it to the comment-fic meme masterlist/people can find it better. Other than that, there are no rules.

This is usually where I say a new lonely prompt roundup/challenge will be posted whenever there are enough new memes/challenges to support it. Buuut, as you may notice, I don't have a lonely prompt post up for the autumn-themed comment-fic meme or the 4th regular comment-fic meme yet. I'm a bit behind in making these posts now that we have such huuuge comment-fic memes/so many prompts. A fact that makes me SO HAPPY, but also slow. ;) So a new lonely prompts roundup/challenge will be posted... soon-ish?

Last month, doylescordy noted that we had some fabulous unwritten prompts left over from various challenges/memes, and suggested I put together something where all of them are put up in a new list. So, that’s what this post is all about! All of our lonely prompts as of today (July 26th, 2010) are below for your perusal.

Soooo, if you’re looking for a plot bunny, look no further!

I was thinking that it would be cool if we could leave links to any off-comm awesomeness in this post for other members to browse on a rainy day. This fandom is so huge, and I know I personally love going through others' rec lists, etc. and discovering new, yummy fic. So, yeah. You can leave the links to any comms/archives/sites of interest, rec posts, delicious accounts, LJ memories, comment-fic & art memes, challenges, whatever! you wish to share in this post - as long as at least a bit of Dean-focused hurt/comfort is included, please! Then, I'll add them to the masterlist.

Fyi, this post will remain open indefinitely, and the masterlist will be updated as frequently as possible.
