Prompt used: Sam reads Nightmare by Carver Edlund because of ~reasons. The last scene where the boys are talking about how they were lucky they had Dad is written from Dean's POV. Turns out Dean's and Max's childhoods weren't entirely different. I know, I know, it's been done to death, I just really want Sam finding out years after S1 when they've both been through so much more and Dean actually sort of has a point when he says Sam is overreacting.
