hi! i'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right spot, idk how LJ works, but can i request something raw and painful with dean getting shot and sam has to patch him up with no nearby help (think along the lines of Sam getting hurt in Red Meat) , with dean being all gaspy and shocky and Sam has to comfort his big brother omg pls and tnx

More of a comment - maybe a prompt? But for Dean, having Mary around is now means there's someone else who he can lose. I mean, losing her was such a huge thing for him, and now the thought that he has to go through that again?

Also, one thing that has been running through my head is that Dean may one day be faced with the impossible - what if it comes down to Sam or Mary? He might have to choose, in a life or death situation, and either way that is going to fuck him up.

I think 'Red Meat' showed that Dean still thinks his life really isn't worth anything, that he would so easily want to trade his life for Sam's.

Dean has a lot on his mind. He was ready to die but he didn't. Now his mom's back - for good or temporarily? Can he save Sam? Can he keep the ones he loves safe from Lucifer?

So - Dean with a very realistic case of severe chronic sleep deprivation is what I'm thinking.

Dean arrived back at bunker to find Sam & Posh Spice struggling over gun. It goes off, Dean's hit. Doesn't seem too bad, then the infection (poison?) hits.
