Characters: Dean Winchester (age 15) , John Winchester, Bobby Singer, Zachariah, Luther: an Angel in the Department of Angelic Vessel Recruiting and Training.
Summary: Dean was destined to be the Michael Sword. But as anyone knows, forging a sword is tricky business. Too many strikes of a hammer could ruin an otherwise promising weapon, but being over judicious meant risking never taking the blade to its full potential. Somehow Luther has to help John Winchester find that balance.
A/N: Written for a hoodie_time prompt: outsider point of view of Dean and his father.

This was fantastic. What an original idea, and the execution was wonderful. I loved the almost split screen effect: Zachariah and Luther on the one side, John and Bobby on the other, with poor Dean in the middle. Great job!

Thanks! I was pretty amused by the idea of a vessel recruiting and training dept. It seemed to fit right in with the angel bureaucracy. And isn't everything just a little better when Bobby's around to say something pithy and cut straight to the heart of what matters?
