A few ground-rules:
01. As for what type of thing you should be prompting here, this is a Dean-focused hurt/comfort community, so Dean should be the one in the hurt/comforted role. Your prompts may involve sick!Dean, (yes, please!) angsty!Dean, hurt!Dean, or anything else that results in Dean being on the receiving end of hurt/comfort.
02. Comment to this post with your desired characters or pairings, if any, and a prompt. All genres/pairings are welcome, however this is not an RPF meme. Please focus on the fictional characters only.
Example A: “Sam, Dean, gen, set in season 8. PTSD!Dean has a flashback to Purgatory on a hunt and crap goes down. Cue guilty, upset Dean and awesome, comforting Sam.”
Example B: “Sam/Dean, fever. Dean has the chills and there is cuddling, naaw.”
03. You can leave as many prompts as you like, but one prompt per comment, please. If you've got a few, comment with each separately.
04. Your prompts can be as short or as detailed as you’d like.

FILLED: Brittle, Teenchesters, PG - Pt 1

Dean’s pissed dad left him behind again, Sam can see it in the tense set of his shoulders as he picks disinterestedly at a half-eaten can of spaghettios on their shared hotel bed. Sam’s been trying to concentrate on X-Men for the better part of an episode, but he’s caught up on Dean’s breathing again. The TV grays in and out, goes to staticky fuzz every few minutes, and it’s a testament to how awful the hotel is and how rough it must be on Dean’s lungs.
Sam didn’t use to notice things like that, because he could always walk into a room and suck in any kind of air deep as he pleased, but the kind of hotel they tend to frequent usually has Dean hitting on his inhaler right in the door, standing on the threshold looking dubiously at the cloud of filth that tossing their duffle raises from the bed. Dad still doesn’t seem to realize, because he just keeps right on checking them into shitholes and leaving, but Sam’s twelve now, and he does. He’s got all the windows open, and there’s a nice crossbreeze happening between the window in the front and the window in the back.
Sam nudges Dean with his foot. Sometimes when Dean draws up into himself like that, he’s not sulking, he’s actually having an attack. His shoulders move up and his neck gets stiff because his body thinks that’s gonna help his lungs fill up, but his body’s a stupid piece of crap, and it should know by now that that’s not going to keep the little sacs in his lungs from plugging up with mucus. Sam knows, because he read up on it a couple years back at the library. He looked at the fleshy little diagrams, the little pictures of what Dean’s lungs looked like when they started crapping out, and he took reflexively deep breaths all afternoon, trying to imagine those little tubes filling up with air, and then trying to imagine what it felt like when they failed to do so.
He never could.
Dean nudges him back far more fiercely—doesn’t really “nudge” at all so much as he shoves him right over the edge of the bed.
“Hey!” he yelps from the floor, surprised and rubbing at where he landed awkwardly on his left arm. He blows his hair out of his face. Dean doesn’t even look away from where his eyes are glazedly focused on the shitty television set, but Sam knows he’s not really watching because it’s staticky black and white right now, and even though the audio is still going, it sounds like an advertisement for some Lego playset rather than the show. “I know you’re pissed you didn’t get to go on the stupid hunt, but you don’t get to take it out on me.”
Dean looks down his nose at him like he’s so much more world-weary and intelligent and put-upon, which is a look he’s been giving more and more since he’s turned fourteen and a look which he reserves for Sam because Dad would probably smack him on the back of the head if Dean ever directed it at him.

During the desperate fight for stop the Apocalypse, Team Free Will slowly turns into something more. When Sam jumps into The Cage, a grieving Dean and Castiel decide to retire, and, after a year, have managed to turn their sudden couple-hood into a semi-functional life. Enter Robo!Sam. He finds his retired lovers and manipulates them into going back on the road. Dean and Cas know something’s up, but are so overjoyed to have their Sammy back that they ignore and forgive Robo!Sam’s subtly manipulation and emotional blackmail (abuse? As far as you're willing to take it???). Angs ensues.
When Sam finally gets his soul back, he doesn’t remember his time as Robo!Sam and is heartbroken when his lovers are skittish, distant, and frightened.
They somehow fix it enough that the Wonder!OT3 becomes functional again?

...RABBIT HEART...
There's a ghost bunny hurtling midair, screeching, through the garden. A pissed-off, semi-corporeal undead rabbit.
CRACK
Dean fires the shotgun in his hands and salt spray scatters the ghost bunny with a sick shriek.
“Sam, any time now,” Dean grits.
Sam is digging, kneeling in the dirt with a pink plastic gardening trowel, unearthing petunias in a frenzy with sweat dripping down his brow. He uncovers the lid of a shoebox just as the ghost rabbit makes a reappearance.
The rabbit flickers in and out of reality as it sits back on its hind legs and licks its front paw. Menacingly.
“Right Thumper. How about you stay right there, and I don't shoot you again. Deal?” Dean attempts to bargain.
Thumper hops forwards once and sniffles at the air. Clearly with evil intent.
“This is gonna hurt me more than it hurts you,” Dean tries. Then looks down at the shotgun in his hands. “Well, maybe not.”
The moments distraction is all Thumper needs. A second later the rabbit is hurtling through the air towards Dean. He takes a step back, aiming the shotgun hurriedly, but not fast enough. The rabbit's shrieks fill his ears and its ghostly fluffy form passes through his chest and everything is cold and painful.
“Dean!” Sam's voice yells.
Dean is on the ground for some reason. A small black snake slithers away beside him.
A moment later the rabbit corpse is flaming bright, and Thumper's ghost is lit up and consumed as it screams out of existence. Dean lies still, rubbing at his chest distractedly in an effort to ease the lingering feeling of ghost bunny invasion.
“I'm okay!” Dean shouts after he's caught his breath.
“Well that was weird,” Sam mutters and he's suddenly right next to Dean offering him a hand.
Dean grabs the hand and pulls himself up, finally surveying the damage around them. Next to the perfectly mown square of grass suburban lawn the Winchesters have made their mark. Petunias are strewn haphazardly around next to the flaming gravesite of “Thumper, you were loved”. A garden gnome has seemingly toppled to lean over the grave as though in mourning, the flames melting its colourful face into a deformed grimace of despair as melted plastic tears drip onto Thumper's final resting place.
Over by the back door of the well-kept home, the young fat girl, Sally, is staring, open mouthed and aghast as her grandmother stands hunched over a zimmer frame with a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder.
“Uh well,” Sam addresses the duo, wiping his hands on the denim of his jeans, then gestures casually towards a second, slightly older miniature headstone next to the hydrangeas. “You ever get any trouble from Captain Peanut, you know who to call.”
And that was it. A simple salt and burn. As run-of-the-mill as they come. Well, except for the fact it had been a freaking rabbit.
On the way out, Sam returns the pink gardening trowel to Sally with a tight smile.
.....
Formica floors, glittery tables and the smell of grilled meat. Dean takes a deep breath through his nose and smiles.
“Coffee, black, and your food will be just a minute fellas,” a pretty waitress informs as she sets two large mugs down next to Sam and Dean.
“So,” Sam prompts. “Rabbits? What's next- gerbil possessions? Wiccan goldfish?”
“Pretty sure it's just a one-off.”
“How do you know? Is this a thing now Dean? I mean, people are screwed up. Always have been. But animals?”
“Yeah I know, right. Felt like Elmer Fudd. Anyway, one of 'Milwaukee's best burgers' is about to be in my stomach, so how about we forget about rabbits and all things rabbit related so I can enjoy it, and you can enjoy your- what did you ask for again?”
“Super sala-” Sam starts naively before cutting off to glower at Dean. “Oh very funny.”
Dean raises his eyebrows in jest and takes a large gulp of coffee, which he's already swallowed a split second before he registers the searing, scalding sensation inside his mouth.
“Son of a bitch!” Dean exclaims as he hurriedly blows his breath outwards in puffs, watching the air in front of him and half expecting to see flames.

He expects Dean to get pissed. Instead, Dean gets kind of... Sad.
Post S8 would probably work best? Dean/Cas or gen is all fine with me :3

Major bonus points for any reflection either by Dean or Benny about how Dean's always had a darker side (e.g. enjoying torturing others in Hell, the way he was in Purgatory, etc.) and connecting that to what he is now. Even more bonus points for Dean falling off the wagon and Benny dealing with the fallout.

I'd definitely like Cas there some which way. I'd just really like a focus on how the people around him feel sort of helpless once they notice, because he won't talk about it and he won't get help but he's obviously suffering. Would appreciate some reference to rehab, like, getting to the point of no return.

A hunt he could do with his hands tied behind his back and drunk, well not with his hands tied behind his back after all this was a salt and burn, but it was the principal of it. But nooooooo not with him, not with the legendary Winchester bad luck.
It just wasn't natural.
There was no way his Baby could break down a mile from the mental institute that the body was buried in, get rained on by the fucking mother of all storms, and fall through the rooting floor into the pitch black basement of an INSANE ASYLUM AFTER having already burned the fucker that haunted this creepy ass place! When this was over he was going to get Sam to research whatever voodoo curse that was on them and get rid of it because there was no way he could take repeats of this. It must've been all those mirrors they broke back with the Bloody Mary shit, seriously, he should've thrown salt or black pepper or whatever over his shoulder at that time.
He grumbled as he walked around, pointing the weak beam of his flashlight left and right looking for the way out, shovel slung over his shoulder, taking slow steps because his back and ass and every other part of him ached and hurt like a bitch from his fall. At least he hadn't broken anything. Ha, one ray of sunshine in this fucking crap situation. The walls were filthy, the ground was cluttered with debris, the air was foul in that cloying sweet smell of rotting wood, all and all, it was a sad pathetic sight and place...especially to haunt. Because really, damn, If this wasn't a place a soul would drown in sorrow from. It made him feel sorry for the poor guy how had been trapped by himself here.
Idly he fished his phone out of his pocket, dialing Sam's number.
"Yooo, Sammy! How's my favorite brother?"
"Dean I'm the only brother you have," he could practically see Sam's I'm so done with your shit look."And it's SSAAMM." He felt his mouth lift into a grin; typical Sammy.
"Baby's feelin ill and I'm stuck in the basement of the institute, think you could meet me on the outside and take me to her?"
Sam huffed,"'Baby's feelin ill' seriously?" Sam's tone was wry.
"Hey! Baby's a lady who needs a man's gentle care and touch to keep her runnin' smooth." He heard Sam mutter something along the lines of 'get a room' and 'if she's breaking down then you're doing something wrong'. His bottom eyelids twitched, a vein throbbing in his left temple.
"If you've got something to say to me, say it."
"Nothing, nothing. Just that you must not be that much of a man if you can't keep your Baby going." Sam's tone was riddled with snark.
"Bitch."
"Jerk. Now tell me where you got lost."
"I'm not lost!"
"You are, so save us both the trouble and just admit you need me to get you out of whatever sticky place you got yourself in now."
He grumbled at Sam's smug tone, kicking some stuff around petulantly as he searched the walls for some kind of indication of where in this institute he could've possibly been in. The wall was covered with grime and moss, faded and pale wallpaper cracked and pealed away from the door-frame in front of him. He brushed the more rigorously ingrained dirt off its hanging name plate.
"Uhhhhh... Dr.. Ro..sa...bett. Dr. Rosabett's room" Sam hummed, acknowledging it, and his ears were greeted with the soothing taps of typing on a keyboard.
"I'm impressed, you're not the far from the entrance. Just take a left up ahead, two rights, another left and you'll be right there. I'll meet you there."
"Roger that, Sammy!"
Sam growled, "Deeaaa-" he hung up, snickering to himself. Sam would probably throw a his say fit when he realized.

Date: 2014-06-24 12:52 am (UTC)He refuses to contact sam or cass as he would put them in too much danger and reaches out to anyone that can help, but just because you can talk to someone doesn't mean you should. (I was thinking Meg in a new body somehow alive or Bella first trip upstairs) Dean trusts the wrong person and ends up being sold out to the highest bidder, who in turn uses Dean (beat up and near death) to trap his brother and Cass. Who end up saving the day and Dean. This is a long prompt that is my current wish and dream.
Slash is welcome if you want to write it so is HET but no wincest. Not a fan, want this to be real and painful as all get out. Looking to cry. End Death is up to writer.

Set during any of the times when Cas doesn't have his "mojo" - AU is fine too.
Sam and Cas (for whatever reason) think it's a good idea for all of Team Free Will to go on a boat (whether for a cruise or a case, IDC.) Dean turns out to get seasickness even worse than he gets plane sickness, and there isn't really much anyone can do but comfort him through it since they're out in the middle of the ocean for a week before they come back to port.
Destiel and/or brotherly schmoop are welcome.

Date: 2014-06-24 05:19 am (UTC)The regular demon cure doesn't work on Knight of Hell Dean, but Sam and Cas have found a modification that makes it work. It's time-sensitive, can only be performed when the planets align or whatever, and if they miss this window they can't try again for like twenty years. They have Dean trapped somewhere to perform the ritual, and halfway through it (when Dean is part-cured), Dean brings the ceiling down (al la Meg in Born Under a Bad Sign). Except he brings it down on himself as well as Sam and Cas, and none of them have enough grace/demon power left to move it. Sam and Cas get dinged up a bit but nothing too serious. Dean gets half buried under the rubble. (Bonus points for some rebar impaling Dean and pinning him to the floor.) The wounds would be fatal if Dean were human, but as a demon he can't die (even if he's in enough pain to wish he could). Sam and Cas try everything to unbury him in the hopes that he'll heal and they can finish curing him (emphasis on how many long hours and hours he's stuck/how much he's suffering/how traumatic this is on ALL of them), but the clock's ticking: once the sun comes up/day changes/whatever the window is on the ritual closes, they can't cure him anymore. They can't risk calling rescue workers while he's still a demon (he's probably kind of homicidally angry right now). If they can't get him free, do they risk curing him while he's stuck under there and then call in rescue after, knowing he might die? Or do they leave him stuck under there and miss their window to cure him? Go steal some heavy equipment to dig him out themselves? Something else? Just no death!fic, please.
