This is the post for authors/artists for the themed month mini challenge to look for inspiration if they’d like, but anyone can comment here, whether you’re participating in the challenge or not. You can TOTALLY use your own ideas, btw; this is just optional for anyone who likes working with a more specific prompt. ;)

You can prompt with as little or as much detail as you want – a single sentence or something more involved, as long as your prompt is related to both a case/monster and to Dean H/C. Just no spoilers for upcoming/unaired episodes, please.

There will be no official claiming of prompts for this, and multiple takes on the same concept are very much welcomed. Of course, if you want to let the prompter know you’re working off their prompt or whatever that’s awesome! Also, this is not a comment meme, so please do not post any fills to this thread; instead remember to follow the submission guidelines outlined here.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for slow-burn H/C things that worsen over the course of a case!fic, like poisoning and blood loss or MAYBE EVEN BOTH. XD

Prompt: On some kind of oceanic/aquatic case, Dean gets poisoned by a supernatural blowfish*. IT'S GONNA BE A LONG NIGHT.

Pre-Series.

Dean's been perfecting the art of playing the field, but he still hasn't gotten the hang of letting them down easy. A broken-hearted girl decides to place a "curse" on him as a way to let off steam, not realizing that the spell she is using is the real deal.

The curse: The next girl he persues will break his heart.
The problem: The monster they are currently hunting is female.

I love case fics where something in the course of investigating Sam learns something new about Dean. Like Bad Boys.

Takes place season 9


Prompt: Sam and Dean are investigating a case involving children going missing. Dean is having a particularly hard time because of Kevin and its a case involving children. While checking out missing persons reports to see if he can find a pattern, Sam comes across one a report with his brother's face that said Dean was abducted as a child. Can Sam temper his anger at his brother long enough to stop Dean from spiraling completely out of control, solve the case, and figure out what the story behind the report. Most importantly how much does he tell Dean?
