I'm just going to drop this here: Top Dean Winchester Gruesome Injuries, as chosen by TheWinchesterFamilyBusiness.Com. Ah, the greatest hits of H/C fandom.
Though I gotta say, some of my favorite H/C footage is pretty understated/actually not that gruesome, all things considered. (If for some reason you have a spare 17 seconds, there is truly excellent footage of Dean sitting in a chair in S5. I think it's probably 5x20, after Crowley feeds him to Brady/Brady's proto-SucroCorps digs. It's an underappreciated chair-sitting moment, okay! XD I'm also pretty fond of Dean coughing up a wood chip in 4x06. Which isn't gruesome until you think about coughing up a wood chip.)
Things I'm surprised didn't make the list... Hm. Getting turned into a vampire in 6x05, though I guess I'm not sure if that was gruesome so much as "well, this is as pleasant as the first scene of an episode of Special Victims Unit, just before the theme song rolls."
Maleus Maleficarum, though. Which is...3x09? In any case, lying on the ground, coughing up lots of blood.Wonderful, stupendous! Classic hurt!Dean scene, right there. XD I wasn't in fandom yet and didn't even know what H/C was, but I remember specifically choosing to watch that episode because the insinuation of this moment was mentioned in the synopsis.
Thoughts/feelings/orgiastic responses to the moments mentioned? Scenes you want to add to the list? Scenes that don't actually exist but you'd like to share from your Dean H/C wishlist? Lay 'em on me. ;)
EDIT, 18 Sept 2013: WinchesterFamilyBusiness is currently down. :( Hopefully the site is back up and running soon!

Date: 2013-09-17 03:08 am (UTC)And unf, a successful success it is. This screencap is a thing of glory. Why cough blood into a surreptitious Kleenex when you can just spill it all over the ground?
Also, upon closer inspection... does this motel room not have carpet? NOT SURE IF GOOD THING OR BAD THING. Because lord knows motel carpet is suspect. XP Maybe if it was an easy-to-Swiffer surface it'd be for the best.
Particularly in instances of witches hexing you into painful abdominal oblivion.

Date: 2013-09-17 03:17 am (UTC)I don't cap, but I can definitely click to the appropriate segments of many episodes, because I know exactly where the Dean H/C scenes are in them. XP And then it really does start to feel like I have some kind of deeply secret video porn stash on my computer. XD

Date: 2013-09-17 03:23 am (UTC)It's actually kind of sad how quickly I can locate some of these things. I spent 6 months writing something based on a film, and by the end of it I STILL couldn't find the scenes I was looking for quickly... (To be fair, the film was non-linear and kind of nutty, but still. SIX MONTHS. ONE MOVIE. OVER AND OVER AGAIN.) Obviously it just needed more H/C. XD

(athough as an assumed geek, I watched Star Trek with my father when I was very young and had vague rememberance of the Wrath of Khan so, not a trekkie at all but during this scene, I think I might have had a trekkie moment ;-)

Date: 2013-09-17 03:15 am (UTC)LOL, I was just having a conversation with a friend about that episode! Because I have no recollection of it; when she was first talking about it I had 6x14 on my mind. Now I feel sad that I don't remember it, because clearly there are things here VERY MUCH IN NEED OF REMEMBRANCE.
Oh no, I guess I have no choice but to rewatch. Because that's always such a trial! :PPP Thanks for the beautiful reminder/incentive!

Date: 2013-09-17 02:10 pm (UTC)I was watching clips out of On the Head of a Pin recently, though. For Castiel, initially, but requisite side trip into the Dean H/C parts was requisite. XDD UGH so good. So ridiculously good I seriously don't understand how it exists.

Date: 2013-09-22 03:13 pm (UTC)ME NEITHER. It's such brilliance and just, yes, good, show at it's best.

Date: 2013-09-17 08:14 pm (UTC)PS: I'm partial to Dean coughing up a wood chip, because. Well. I feel like those of us who have had carrot stuck down the wrong pipe knows the feeling, hm?
Oh, and... That thing in my icon that I've forgotten the episode tag to. 8D I'M GOOD AT THIS, NO?

Date: 2013-09-18 03:01 pm (UTC)The atmosphere and detail of these is amaaaazing. *___* I especially love Castiel's expression in the third one.
P.S. You should totally post these in a rec post! :P I'd love to share these with an audience wider than people who happen to peruse the comments of this thread. Because these are AWESOME. *__*
Thanks so much for collecting the links! And also for providing the links to the original works; for full-size viewing and viewing of the artists' entire portfolios. *_______________* And endless parade of excellence, that's what this is.

Date: 2013-09-18 01:57 pm (UTC)From "Dark Side Of The Moon" (just after Zachariah punches Dean in the belly)
And "The End". The first one is Dean after being knocked out by Future!Dean
And the others, well, Lucifer!Sam breaking Future!Dean's neck

Date: 2013-09-18 03:04 pm (UTC)And man, I definitely need more 'Dean lying insensible on the ground' in my life. I especially love that second shot, omg.
Do you remember that part in 5x10 where Lucifer, as he's raising Death, throws Dean against a tree or something and knocks him out? And as Death is being raised, Sam's crouching over Dean, who's on the ground? I am ridiculously fond of that scene. Like, ridiculously. If that scene lasted ten whole minutes I'd not have minded at all. :P
