Warnings: strong language, violence, disturbing imagery, some amount of hurt!Sam but only in this chapter.
Summary: Sam and Dean Winchester are separated following the zombie apocalypse. Now the world's gone crazy, Sam is missing and Dean Winchester doesn't remember how. In his current state, it's hard to even try. But try he will. Apocafic, on an epic scale. And Dean is very poetic all the time.
Spoilers: Upto Season 5, Two Minutes to Midnight, after which it goes AU.
Chapter Summary: Wherein Dean remembers. And stuff explodes. And there's Sam, after 21k words of no Sam. Yay!
Notes: I hope people haven't given up on me and my extremely slow updates. Sorry about that! This is an Interlude chapter, which means it can be read SEPARATELY. So if you wanna try out this fic but don't think it's your thing (I get that a lot because it's zombie!Dean) this is the chapter you want to sample. No, really, there's no grossness to the whole zombie!Dean thing, and I say all this only because I get a lot of PMs saying "I want to read, but I don't think it's my thing..." and "Really, zombies? I don't know..." I killed my brain-cells dead writing this, so I'd LOVE some feedback :)
