Let's pretend it's still May 31st somewhere in the world, shall we? /o\
Anyway. The recs in this post are all a) set in Purgatory, b) have Dean and Benny in them, and c) tie Dean's time in Purgatory back to his time in hell in some way. Because that combination is basically my current catnip.

Tags: clothes sharing, fever, other illness, nightmares/night terrors, hell/post-hell issues
Characters: Dean, Benny
Genre/pairing: gen
Rating: PG-13
Word-count: ~1800
Spoilers: up to and for S8
Warnings: none
Summary: You never realize how much you appreciate Advil Cold & Flu until you can't just run out and buy some. Or, life in Purgatory.
Reccer’s comments: Sick Dean. Benny's rough-but-caring brand of nursing him to health. A very satisfying read.

Word-count: ~2500

Summary: Benny slowly solves the enigma that is Dean Winchester.
Reccer’s comments: Everything I want from Purgatory H/C and then some, and it contains some really wonderful observations about Dean.
Title: Born From It

Characters: Dean, Benny
Genre/pairing: gen
Rating: R
Word-count: ~790

Summary: The closest he gets is that it’s hunting at its finest. There's no need to worry about the innocent or of making too much of a scene; he can do what he’s good at and the only black mark is if Cas will see what this place is turning him into.
Reccer’s comments: A darker take on Dean's issues in Purgatory.
