Reccer’s comments: I loved the original (by geckoholic, here) and I love this re-imagining of it. I find Sam’s POV of watching his brother break down to be appealingly raw. Oh, and a comment on the tags - this contains quite a bit of (well-placed) comfort as far as h/c goes, but is also seriously heartbreaking, for those of you that like to know those things.
