Lonely Prompts Spotlight
Occasionally a mod will be making a post highlighting 5 prompts from our various comment memes that have yet to be filled, in the hopes that someone/several people will pick them up. So, that’s what this is. /waves pom-poms
The only rule here is to please post your fills as comment-fanworks or link to them at your journal as a comment to the original prompt. You can definitely post them to the comm itself, (it’s very much encouraged, really) but please do the other as well, so that the prompter will know you've filled it and so that the mods can add it to the meme masterlist for all to see. ;) There are no deadlines or other rules.
You can use the .lonely prompts challenge tag when posting to the comm.

Spotlighted lonely prompts:
S7. Although Dean's mind is tough, there is a threshold beyond which the body betrays. Dean hits that point, and despite all his determination to pick himself up and keep pushing forward, his body simply won't cooperate. It starts with pain, maybe weakness, and becomes progressively worse. His appetite, which was sketchy to begin with, nearly disappears, making recovery even more difficult. This is likely a combination of real and stress-induced dysfunction. It's not something that can be easily overcome with Dean's usual coping mechanisms, since pushing down his emotional responses is what got him into it in the first place. However, it's also not something that can be resolved with an easy emotional breakdown with lots of crying, either. It's just his body shutting down, forcing him to stop. Sam is around, doing his best but not sure how to respond to the situation.

Dean is cursed. The worst part isn't even how helpless he is under the near constant pain that overwhelms his senses and keeps aggravating his latent PTSD. No, the worst part is that it's actually contagious through touch and Sam can't even physically comfort him or bring him out of the flashbacks the curse keeps triggering. Slash or gen.

ART OR FIC PROMPT. They are camping/in the middle of nowhere on a hunt and Dean is getting sick, resulting in SHARED SLEEPING BAGS. <3 Gen cuddling or Sam/Dean would be loved and cherished.

Mod note: I don't usually pick my own prompts for these things just to be fair, but I wanted to fit an art prompt in here and this was the only one I could find on the pages I searched today, so. /o\ Yay, art!
There's a superbug killing everyone in horribly painful and gross ways. Immunity is rare, but Sam and Dean seem to be among those lucky few. Until Dean spikes a fever and gets sick. Sam doesn't seem outwardly worried about it, though. It's just a regular cold, no need to panic. He refuses to let Dean go out like that, all fragile and withered and stripped of his dignity, and things like cough syrup and cool washcloths are not as stupidly useless as Dean keeps insisting. It's just a fucking cold.
Sam could be right or wrong, depending on the author's angst tolerance. Any genre/pairing.

After having four colds in as many months, Dean ends up in the hospital with a bad flu and/or pneumonia.
Bonus angstyness, if you can make it fit: As if this isn’t bad enough, a doctor there suggests Dean should be on medication for depression.
