Notes: I wasn't sure whether to post here or not, but upon rereading, I decided that Dean gets knocked around plenty for this to fit right in. :)  Written for springkink for my own prompt—haircuts and grooming. It is my view that cutting your partner's hair is among the most intimate of shared activities, sexual or not, and I'll write a haircut scene into pretty much any fic if given the chance. So I'm really indulging my kink here in a 5 things +1 format.

The last part ran away from me a bit and could almost stand on its own, going AU from All Hell Breaks Loose pt. 1. It's a little crazy.

Also, the title and section heads are from two songs that somewhat inspired the fic: "Holocene" by Bon Iver and "No Place Like Home" by Owen.
