Summary: Dean’s comments seem to indicate it’s only just hit him that he has a permanent, life-changing injury and Sam knows he was right to worry that his brother seemed to be taking to his new situation a little too easily. Trust a girl to be his undoing.
Notes: Unbetaed so all mistakes are mine. Title is taken from the ever angst-filled Morrissey's 'November Spawned a Monster'. Written for this prompt from neonchica at the 6th Dean-focused fic & art challenge here at hoodie_time.

This was a very good story. You did an excellent job of presenting a person suffering with a sudden loss of hearing. This happened in my own family and it was something that took quite awhile to adjust to for both my family member who lost his hearing and the rest of the family. Alot of frustration and depression to overcome (and no monsters or demons to fight off!). As I read your words I felt myself reliving many moments in my past and it made me able to understand both Dean and Sam in this story.

Thank you, your comments are much appreciated. I figured Sam would do his homework on how he could support Dean but some of comments actually made to Dean about his hearing loss in the story are sadly genuine examples of how ill-informed people can be. It must have been really tough for your family member.
