A few ground-rules:

01. Per your request, we’re having a winter/holiday themed meme this time around! That means we’re looking for prompts involving Christmas, New Year’s, hypothermic snuggles, boys getting snowed in the middle of a hunt leading to yet more hypothermic snuggles, de-aged!Dean and Santa!Sam, idek. The list is endless, really; as long as the prompts relate even VAGUELY to winter-time, they’re game. We’re not picky. ;D

This being the comm it is, prompts should of course also include Dean-centric h/c.

02. Comment to this post with your desired characters or pairings, and a prompt. All genres/pairings are welcome, however this is not an RPF meme. Please focus on the fictional characters only.

Example: Gen, Dean, Sam. It’s not the first Christmas Dean’s spent in the hospital.

03. You can leave as many prompts as you like, but one prompt per comment, please. If you've got a few, comment with each separately.

04. Your prompts can be as short or as detailed as you’d like.

05. Scroll through the comments and when/if you find a prompt you like, write a fic in reply to the comment.

06. More than one comment-fic response to a prompt is totally acceptable, and in fact encouraged. The more fic, the better!

07. Art submissions are very much accepted too! Large art should be posted as a thumbnail that links back to the full art, please.

08. When replying to a prompt with your comment-fic or art, put 'FILLED' in your subject line as well as warning for anything that might be triggering, such as non-con, self-harm, etc. You can add anything else you want too, ie: a title if you have one/part numbers. No worries if you don’t do all of this, but using 'FILLED' as well as warnings will make it easier for people to find your fic, and for me when I’m compiling the masterlist.

09. Anonymous posting is enabled in case you’re embarrassed by your schmoopiest of schmoopy hurt/comfort fantasies or something, haha. IP logging will also be off during the weeks the meme is at it’s most active.

10. No spoilers for upcoming episodes, please.

Dean, Sam, any genre. In the dead of winter, and probably not helped by all the crappy, cold weather, season 7 era Dean gets pneumonia and doesn't take care of it properly (it's his subconscious or maybe not so subconscious suicide/death wish coming through) and ends up in the hospital, very sick.

s7!Dean is terrified of the idea of ‘taking care of himself’ because it’s such a foreign concept to him, and also it means dealing with issues he’s not ready to deal with. Then he gets de-aged and suddenly he’s this KID who literally CAN'T take care of himself, and Sam (and possibly Bobby) are re-searching ways to kill Leviathans and being all productive and Dean can’t hunt, and they won’t let him drink, and he can’t even seem to keep his emotions in check the way he did as an adult, and being so small brings up all these memories up of being so young and helpless and how he still feels that way years later underneath everything, and basically, it’s not a good time. At some point, he has a major meltdown to rival every 4-year old kid meltdown there has ever been. ;_;

In the meantime, Sam tries to give them a real Christmas in an attempt to make Dean feel better. He maybe even gets them a tree! There, it’s a seasonal prompt now!

Pre-series: They've lived in this crappy little town for almost a whole year, and 14-yr-old Sam is all over making this a Real Christmas(tm). Dean's bought in enough that he's determined to get presents. But it's the 24th, he's just back from a hunt, whatever virus this is, is kicking his ass, and he hasn't got any presents yet.

He might have a cold, flu, or freaking Martian Death Virus, but by God Dean Winchester is Going Shopping.

In the middle of the winter, they’re snowbound in their motel. Dean is SICK with the flu and since they can’t get out to get any cold/flu meds, he has to go without them. It’s aspirin instead of TheraFlu, toilet paper instead of Kleenex. Maybe they are without power/heat if you want to make it really dire. Anyway, Dean is a freezing cold, sneezy, wheezy, pukey, miserable mess, and Sam is awesome.

Shortly after the doubling by the Leviathans. They're off the grid, no power, no heating, cold showers, no way they can just show up in a hospital, and Dean doesn't see a need to mention the (insert sickness of your choice here) to Sam. Nothing to be done about it, anyway, so what's the use? But the constant cold doesn't help things at all, and then the fever hits...

I've been waiting for fic like this since the episode. There has been some, but I want MORE.

It's Christmas 1985, and John Winchester has finally gotten his family back on the road after a big meal at his cousin's house. He'd be relieved, but by mid-afternoon the excitement's over and he's pretty sure something extra was added to the oyster stuffing, because he's had to pull over twice to let Dean puke and once for himself. At least Baby Sammy was limited to sweet potatoes, but Dean's looking like the Ghost of Christmas Death and John's pretty sure they need an ER, STAT. Trouble is, they're driving through Outer Mongolia and the only sign he's seen of human habitation is occasional bullet holes in the highway signs.

Where in the hell is a guiding star when you need one?
