spn_summergen is one of my fave challenges in this fandom. <3 Here are just a couple of recs for fics that have been posted there recently, and that fit our theme here.

Title: Sunbeams Are Never Made Like Me

Dean is acting strangely, and Sam is determined to figure out what's going on, no matter what it takes. He may not like what he finds.
Reccer’s comments: This captures the off-kilterness between Sam and Dean that we saw in season 4 so well, showing us how they’re both struggling with themselves as much as with each other. It’s often achy to read, (in a good way!) but Sam’s worry for his brother shines through as well. The case was very cool too.
