[mod post] calling all reccers

First I should say - happy 4th of July to those of you in the States! And happy belated Canada Day to my fellow Canadians! <3

Completely unrelatedly, I have a proposition for you.

What’s this about?

As most of you are probably aware, anyone can make recs at this comm at any time. You can send your recs into our rec submission post, and as long as you guys keep sending recs in, I make a rec post at the end of each month of everything you’ve sent in during that month. Or, if you'd rather make your own rec post, you can do that too. (Reccing guidelines for either/or can be found here.)

Now, this isn’t a full-time rec comm by any means, but I’ve been thinking that I’d like to also have reccer sign-ups to augment this a little. This is because some months I receive tons of recs from you guys, some months I receive a few, and occasionally, like the past two months, I receive none. As mod, I post my own recs regardless, but I want to make sure it’s not just what I’ve read/my tastes that are represented here, because otherwise I feel like a bit of a spammer, haha. That’s really what prompted me to make this post.

Sooo, anyone will still be able to rec whenever, but if you sign-up to be a reccer, you will be signing up for/committing to doing one (or more if you wish) rec posts here during a particular month.

Info & sign-ups:

If you are assigned your month of choice, anytime during that month you must make AT LEAST ONE (or more!) rec posts - centered around Dean-focused hurt/comfort fics and other fanworks, but of course. ;) Your rec posts can be based on themes, pairings/genres, episodes, random favourites, insta-recs, author spotlights, etc. – it’s entirely up to you.

Fyi, I’ll be PM-ing or e-mailing everyone who signs up for this at the beginning of their month, as a reminder.

Idk about the rest of it, but I’d love to be a pinch hitter:

You can also sign up to be pinch hitter, which means if someone can no longer do their month, I’ll let you know and see if you can do it. If you can’t, I’ll just pass that month along to the next pinch hitter. ;) To sign up to be a pinch hitter, you don’t have to fill out a form; just let me know you’d like to do that in the comments to this post, please, and I'll contact you if need be.

I said I'd remind pp at the beginning of the month they were due to rec at hoodie_time, so this is just me doing that. ;D Are you still up for it? If so, thanks so much in advance. You guys are life-savers.
