[mod post] calling all graphic makers

Would anyone graphically talented be willing/have the time to make one or several of these - some banners for future hoodie_time comments-fic memes, a profile banner, and a header for the comm itself? Likewise, if you think someone might be interested in doing so, please send them this way. I’m sorry to say I couldn’t give you anything in return, but I’d make sure to credit you in the comm profile/in the relevant posts. Also, I’d love you for life. ♥

I’ve been doing the graphics myself, and since I know nothing about such things, that basically means all I’ve done is haphazardly colour/brighten and crop a few screencaps. Which is fine, but I’d love to have something prettier!

You’d have pretty much free reign over the designs. There are just a few more details below, and the only other thing I ask is that they be not too large in size. Also, there’s absolutely no rush; the only one I’m going to have to use in the near future (next month-ish) is for our next comment-fic meme.

What I'm looking for:

Dean-focused h/c comment-fic meme banners / previous comment-fic meme banners (One or more. In the vicinity of 400-450 x 200-225 would work best. Any caps, etc. you want to use are totally cool. Text should be similar to previous meme banners, and I’d love it if you could add ‘@ hoodie_time’ to any of them as well; I could never make that look right.)

profile banner + header for the main page of the comm / current profile banner + the comm’s current layout (There's no fixed size; just not too big. For these ones, I’d like to specify that the cap or pic/one of the caps or pics used include Dean in his hoodie from Faith, just because that seems fitting. The profile banner can be textless, OR simply say 'hoodie_time.' The text for the header should be ‘hoodie_time: Dean-centric hurt/comfort fanworks, recs & more.’ OR simply say 'hoodie_time.' Or something like that! If the graphic-maker would like to change any of this, I'm very open to that.)

I’ll be needing banners for several other things as well, but not for awhile, so maybe I’ll just make another post when the time comes.

It’s your privacy settings that you need to change, I think. It probably only accepts PMs from pp who are on your fl. Unless you’re getting spammy comments, and then I’d leave it as it is. LJ seems to have a lot of that going on lately. ;/

I would really LOVE to make the header/profile banners but I think that depends on the date you'll need them. D:

It’s totally up to you. Like I said above, there’s really no rush/no date I need them by. I’ve gone without them this whole time, so I don’t need them anytime soon, haha. On the other hand, if you’re unable to do them, I have another volunteer as well.

Yayyy! ;) End of May/beginning of June is fine by me; take longer if you need to.

As for specific wishes regarding colouring, I’ll be down with anything. My personal tastes tend to run towards anything that isn’t super-dark. I like light colours as well as bigger, bright colours, and I like black and white too. The comm’s layout background is white, so I guess whatever you think would look good on that.

Have I mentioned that YOU ARE AWESOME? Because you really are. <3

Also, even though time is not at all an issue on anything else, I will be needing a comment-fic meme banner for sometime this month. Would you have time to do that, or should I ask one of my other volunteers?

OOh, can I ask you a question regarding the comment-fic-memes banners? Can only be Dean in it or should there be Sam in it 'comforting' him as well? :)

Either is totally fine! ;) I’d love some ‘comforting!’ Sam in the profile and/or layout banners if you can swing it, but it’s not necessary; pick what caps work best for you. For the comment-fic meme banners, I really have no preference. Go nuts!

Omg hey! Oh yes, I really love them, aaaall of them. ;D You are the BEST, seriously.

The colouring on the meme banner is amazing, the profile banners are so fun and adorable and charming, (::love::) and I can’t even decide between the headers. I really like the black and white and all the white space, btw.

I’m currently thinking header v2, but I’m not sure. The animations are beautiful too, just the way they are, so no worries there. And idk, I really like the cap you used in header v1 too. CHOICES, CHOICES. ;)))) Maybe I’ll just switch between them every once and awhile, haha.

There’s only one thing I’d ask re: font – in the headers, do you think you could remove the @/at, (It’s necessary for the memes, but I’m not sure it is here?) and move ‘hoodie_time’ to above ‘Dean-centric hurt/comfort fanworks, recs, and more’ or wherever else you think is best, just so it’s more visible? Is that too much? Sorry for being so specific. ;-/

PS. I just realized that header v1. is missing the 'h/c' part. I think the text from the other versions or something similar would fit/look great where the 'at' is if you're looking for something to put there. y/n? Haha, feel free to disregard me; I really know nothing about graphic design.

This header reminds me a little of the way you did the one for your graphic journal, btw, which I love. The cut-out style is awesome. ::kisses::
