A/N: I feel like the prompt, "stumbling along," was just BEGGING for h/c (though what isn't, to me?), so I obliged. I think I fell kinda at the angsty end of the schmoop spectrum, but it's hard to go against a lifetime of instincts.
Sam is on the couch with a book when Castiel brings Dean home.
