Due to suggestions from you, and for organizational reasons, I’ve added a new rule, plus a more visible spoiler policy to the posting guidelines:

Spoiler policy: Spoilers at this comm are considered to be anything from an unaired episode, or content from the most recent episode for up to one week after the original air date.

Please put such things behind a cut, or under greyed-out text. If you don't know how to grey-out text, here is a handy tutorial. If you don't know how to make an LJ-cut, go here for another handy tutorial.

Posting limit: Generally speaking, please don’t make more than one post to the comm in a single day, i.e., one post per (roughly) 24 hours.

This is more of a guideline than anything. If you occasionally post two separate fics a day in separate posts, that’s okay, but please don’t, for example, post one chapter of your fic to the comm, another chapter in a separate post two hours later, and then another after that. If you’d like to post multiple chapters/works, you can consolidate them all in one post, or spread the posting out over days. We’d love to see them!

The reasoning behind this is to keep things in our rapidly growing community (which, yay!) from getting too hectic/so as not to flood anyone’s friends-list.

Note: The mod may occasionally make multiple posts a day regarding fic challenges, etc.

I’ve also recently added some new tags/altered some tags - and gone back and tagged what I could, of course! - for clarification. Here's hoping I remember to list them all:

Regular tags:

'age regression' is now:
age regression (mental)
age regression (physical)

’animal transformation’ is now:
transformation (animal/creature/etc.)

‘autoimmune disease’ and ’immune deficiency’ are both now:
immune disorder

'drugs/drugged' is now:
drugs (illegal)
drugs (medical)
drugs (psychiatric)
drugs (supernatural)
drugged

'hospitalization' is now:
hospitalization
hospitalization (psychiatric)

‘mind control’ and ‘brainwashing’ are both now:
mind control (brainwashing/etc.)

'substance abuse' is now:
substance abuse (alcohol)
substance abuse (drugs)

secrets (somebody finds out)

weight loss (There are related tags, but it looked like we needed a separate one as well.)

Speaking of tags, I’m very open to adding new ones to the tags-list, soooo let me know if you have any suggestions. The tag request post is always open, or you can just make any suggestions you may have right in this post. ;)

Hi!

I wonder if there could be tags for the tone or type of story, like humour, drama, case fic, dark fic, etc. I was just thinking it would be very handy because I could really use some humourous h/c these days but I had no idea how to go about finding some.

Hey!

That's definitely something to consider. I'd love to have all the casefics, especially, in one place. (I do love me a good casefic!) I've also thought of adding tags for each season. At the same time, though, I don't want there to be too many different categories of tags for posters; we already have so many.

In the meantime, here's (http://community.livejournal.com/hoodie_time/20374.html) a humour/crack!fic rec post. It's from aaaages ago, but the fics remain awesome. ;)

I love the idea of creating general tags for each season. I typically only read stories that are AU, pre-series, or from certain seasons and would love to be able to find the stories without having to weed through a bunch of other posts. It would also save you from having to make a bunch of specific episode tags.

BTW, thanks for all the work you do with this comm. It's one of my favorite SPN comms and the first place I look for hurt!Dean stories.

I just added tags for the various seasons as well as tags for pre-series and future-fic here (http://community.livejournal.com/hoodie_time/3818.html#cutid1) under the settings title.

I'm still considering which tags I should use for the other suggestion.
