A quick colored sketch perfect in my opinion for the hoodie_time  community : a sick!Dean in the bus inspired by the Faith episode.

In S1 x 12, Faith, Dean is severely injured and hospitalized in a critical condition. However, as Dean will always be Dean, he escapes from the hospital and goes back to the motel where Sam is staying, informing his brother as soon as he enters the room that he's "not gonna die in a hospital where the nurses aren't even hot".

This fan art represents a kind of missing scene, what the show doesn't show us : the moment where Dean, sick and weak, certainly (?) takes the bus wearing a hoodie far too big for him (Sam's according to fanon) and how he manages to go back to the motel.

I know that in the show, according to the episode where the older Winchester brother is obsessed with the "magic fingers", Dean listens to his favorite music thanks to his mobile phone. However, I thought it just didn't fit with the mood of the drawing. I then decided to represent him with an old Sony Walkman what is not that OOC after all knowing that the guy is still convinced in the mid 2000's that cassette tapes are the best way ever to enjoy music.

Glad you loved the Walkman. I tried to draw a mobile phone in his hand but something felt wrong and what is funny is that I can't even explain the reason why! The story takes place in '05-'06, a mobile phone should fit just right but...no! ^o^

I am the kind of crazy fan artist who can spend easily 30 hours on ONE art (I am into CG painting) so when it takes less than 5 hours, for me, it's quick ^^;; In addition, there is no set or something complex in the pic, just Dean and his Walkman so it wasn't very difficult compared to what I am usually drawing =)
