For the hoodie_time prompt: Having just turned 40 Dean gets fed up with Sam teasing him about his age. He's going to show Sam just how much of an old man he is. Right: Not. One. Tiny. Bit. And boy, does he keep his word. He takes Sam like he hasn't in quite a while: Right up against the wall, even lifting Sam off of his feet, just like he knows Sam loves and just like he knows no one else ever managed to do for Sam as good as he could. And it's easily the best sex they've had in a long time. Besides, secretly Dean thinks, it's nice to prove to himself that he can still lift Sam like he could ten years ago.

Except then he throws his back out. And it's bad. Really bad.

Up to the author if Dean collapses right in the middle of them doing it, or if the pain sets in belated and Dean can't get out of bed the next day.

Either way, cue grumpy-embarrassed!Dean and equally-amused-and-feeling-guilty!Sam.
I really hope the prompter likes this, there’s not so much amused!Sam here, and possibly more whumped!Dean than you intended, but this is what my brain made.

Warnings: Those of you who think John Winchester was a good father doing the best he could under terrible circumstances may not like my portrayal. He's not deliberately cruel, but he is negligent and he treats his sons as though they are soldiers, not little boys. Just remember this story is AU and Sammy knows what his daddy does at a much younger age than canon Sammy.

Summary: This is the third story in the 'Wish 'verse. I recommend reading at least the first story here before you read this one as this is an AU and it may be difficult to follow if you don't get the background. In summary: Young Sammy's wish to be a grown up whenever his big brother, Dean, needs help gets granted by a well-meaning gypsy. The unexpected consequences of the wish cause an unbreakable bond to develop between the brothers. A magical creature, the black imp, attempts to take the wish away from the boys, but is thwarted by John who is then cursed by the imp to forever be in pain when his sons are nearby.

In this installment Dean is 10 and Sammy is 6 until his brother needs his help and the Wish transforms him into a 24 year old. Dad comes home from a hunt and something is…wrong. Once more it's up to adult Sam to protect young Dean from danger and this time he can't count on John for back-up.

What’s this about?

There are lots of ways to rec at hoodie_time. You can make your own rec post at any time, or submit any recs you may have to be posted by a mod. (Reccing guidelines for either/or can be found here.) These reccer sign-ups are just to make sure we have at least one rec post per month. ;)

So, if you sign-up to be a reccer, you will be signing up for/committing to doing one (or more if you wish) rec posts here during a particular month.

Sometimes it can be a little daunting to put your recs out there. At least, that's always been the case for me, haha. But in order to augment the number of recommendations available at hoodie_time, please consider signing up to be a monthly reccer.
