Title: Subsistence: Going Under

Summary: Dean is blind and with Sam's support, he is learning to live the new life and accepting it for what it is. With Sam injured, things have been difficult lately, but a hospital visit shows that Sam's injury has worsened and he needs surgery. The trouble is, Dean really doesn't like hospitals or strange places. Cue nice nurses and drugged!Sam to make everything better.

Warnings: Gen, AU, blind!Dean, hurt!Dean (blindness, headaches), hurt!Sam (leg injury), loopy!Sam (after surgery), possible OOCness due to momentary lapses of intense squee.

Disclaimer: If only we did own them.

Also: This is what happens when you let two devoted h/c fans play together. There was no medical research as it was just fun, so any inaccuracies are apologised for in advance. Also we willingly call them Sam and Dean Winchester in the hospital.

Summary: A follow up to the original prompt by anon on hoodie_time: Dean loses both of his legs and his arms. For whatever reason, he isn't a candidate for prostheses. Dean's care just became a full time job. Dean's depressed over the prospect. Sam's afraid it means he can't runaway to Stanford. Dean tells John to dump him in a home, but John reminds him that Winchesters don't turn their backs on family. Gen or Wincest (including Dean/Sam/John). Up to the author where it goes from there: Couple of possibilities include John taking care of the demon and caring for Dean or Sam giving up on Stanford. Bonus for Sam and John fighting, but ultimately working together on this one.

Follows the Winchester family as they move to Stanford.
