Reccer’s comments: Although there are very few kinds of fics I won’t read, I do tend to shy away from fics with this basic premise, (my heart just can’t handle it!) but ohhhhh my god, missing this would have been a mistake. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful depictions of Sam and Dean’s epic bro love I’ve read in a long time. Heartbreaking, and did I mention beautiful?

Reccer’s comments: I admit I haven’t seen The Departed since it first came out, but I really appreciated the seamless way the authors blended the two universes together, as well as their writing styles. A fun casefic with a delicious post-hell-Dean-angst flavoured cherry on top!
