Title: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Author: Alone Dreaming
Rating: R (for violence, blood, and the use of four letter words)
Genre/pairing: General/Drama
Characters: Dean, John, Mary, Sam (eventually)
Word count: about 2000
Summary: Mary Winchester tries to leave the past behind her. It's not so easy with black dogs roaming the neighborhood and a strange man named Jimmy Hendrix cutting her yard.
Spoilers: Oh Jesus, season four revelations about John and Mary certainly even though this was written before that. For safety's sake, just assume pretty much everything up through season five, though I don't think there's anything too revealing in this bit.
Warnings: Violence, Blood, Four Letter Words, Mystery (without explanation at this point) and, arguably, a mildly Alternate Universe
Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural or it's characters. If I did, the angstfest would've ended seven episodes ago.
Author's Note: An idea that lurked in my mind for a few years. We'll see where it goes.
