Warnings: This story does contain hell flashbacks with graphic imagery/torture.
Disclaimer: The Winchesters and their world are not mine, not even close...and Dean in particular is quite glad for that.

Title: A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Author: Alone Dreaming
Rating: R (for violence, blood, and the use of four letter words)
Genre/pairing: General/Drama
Characters: Dean, John, Mary, Sam (eventually)
Word count: about 2,300
Summary: Mary Winchester tries to leave the past behind her. It's not so easy with black dogs roaming the neighborhood and a strange man named Jimmy Hendrix cutting her yard.
Spoilers: Safe to say, basic background revelations from Season Four and Five though wholly unrelated to those episodes and with general ignorance to their existence. Just a coincidental coinciding, really. Nothing too bad here, for the moment.
Warnings: Violence, Blood, Four Letter Words, Mystery (without explanation at this point) and, arguably, a mildly Alternate Universe
Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural or it's characters. If I did, they would freaking say yes already.
Author's Note: Special thanks to rockpaperscissors who continues to provide support and advice. Much appreciated, as always.
