A/N: This is my first posted story, and it was written for a prompt that was provided by bellatemple as part of the Dean-focused hurt/comfort comment-fic meme.

The first time John starts wondering what is going on with Dean is a couple months after Dean turns 16; they are staying in a rental house in Ohio, and when John gets back from a hunt Dean swears the house is haunted, while Sam swears that this is a sign that Dean has finally lost it.
