March Rec Post: you blew through me like bullet holes

Hi! I'm vie_dangerouse, and I will be Vanna White-ing your recs for March. Yes, I realize March is very nearly over, but I wanted it to go out like a lion. You know, a lion of angst. Anyway, this rec post contains a mixture of different types of fanworks: fics, a fanmix, picspams/gifsets, a fanvideo, and fanart! I wanted to touch all the bases and then home run. ;) Also, personally, I know that I love reading fic recs, but sometimes long lists of them make me feel overwhelmed. In this capacity, there's some fic, but there are also just some pretty pictures of Dean looking angsty, which is always good in my book.

Reccer’s Notes: One of the best Dean-focused fanmixes I’ve run across in recent memory. Tortured indie-rock is normally something I’d associate more with Sam, but this mix just feels like Dean, all the way to the core.

Reccer’s Notes: Judging from Sam’s cast, I’d place this around mid-Season 2, so you can add in an atmosphere of that yummy S2-era angst. What I adore most about this art is the perspective—the lamplight in the background, the open car door, and Dean’s leg up on the back of Sam’s seat. In all, this is a lovely capturing of an immediate post-hunt moment, where Dean just collapses in on himself from exhaustion and ‘holy-shit-it’s-over-for-now’. <3

Reccer’s Notes: It doesn’t get any better than this. A perfect (and I am loathe to use the word ‘perfect’ in description, since it’s such an absolute, but this video completely deserves it) slice of the Winchesters’ character arc from Seasons 4-6, with flashbacks to Seasons 2 and 3. This video uses such unique stop-motion/slow-motion techniques, and the choice of scenes is never expected, but works in ways that I’ve seen few videos do.
