Extra points if he's exhausted and shaky from blood loss when he finally does save Sam, and Sam ends up doing most of the escaping from that point. Generic prompt is generic, but I guess I have simple needs. Wincest if you want, gen if you don't. Preferable S1-2 or preseries.

So as a general rule I beat the crap out of Sam, but I have three fics right now where Dean's significantly a mess as well and

roque_clasique said I have to come over here and tell you about them. So. Hi. I'm nervous.

The first two are a pair, but they work as standalones, and they're in my Sam-has-asthma 'verse. But hurt Dean, I promise! Even sick Dean in the second one!

A/N: I wanted to write something for International Women's day today(which, hello? Do any Americans acknowledge?), and this is what I came up with. I've always found Jo's role in the show to be interesting/problematic from a Feminist perspective. On the one hand, she's a strong female character, confident and smart and ready to mix it up with the boys. On the other hand she is constantly struggling to be accepted into the "boys club". I could go on at length here about violence and the roles of women in war, but this is just the author's note. So I'll put a lid on it, and let the story do the tellin'!
